ABOUT
Axel Cleeremans is Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the ULB in Brussels, Research Director at the National Fund for Scientific Research in Belgium, and among the most eminent world experts dedicated to the science of consciousness. As Editor in Chief of Frontiers in Psychology, he has successfully built a vibrant editorial board of over 11.000 researcher from all over the world, making it the one most cited multidisciplinary psychology journal in the world. He is also President and guiding light of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness. His research is essentially dedicated to the differences between information processing with and without consciousness, particularly in the domain of learning and memory, perception, social cognition, decision-making, and cognitive control. Cleeremans has authored or edited several books dedicated to the study of consciousness, most recently has co-authored the Oxford Companion to Consciousness.
