We are entering the seventh week of lock down. It's definitely challenging in many aspects, but it also has one very positive thing: TIME. Having time is like doing yoga. It allows us to put things on pause, to step back from our busy life.

So we have created a list of our favourite platforms containing yoga workouts from certified yoga instructors so that you could get a one-to-one studio experience from the comfort of your home.

Yoga with Adriene (EN)

If you still haven’t heard of Adriene, it’s time to meet the new yoga queen of the Internet. Yoga with Adriene is extremely beginner-friendly. Her 30-day yoga challenge is an accessible way to start your yoga journey. The instructions are clear, and Adriene’s funny jokes will make even the most serious yogis smile. Adriene gives useful tips for modifications using props, how to identify whether you’re stretching correctly and whether your body is feeling how it should in a specific pose.

There are also a variety of yoga sequences for people who want to advance in their practice such as working on particular body parts, yoga for stress and anxiety, yoga for runners, and many more.

Vinyasa with Cat Meffan (EN)

A superb Youtube channel for people who need more hours in the day. Cat Meffan offers a pure encyclopedia of yoga asanas and a collection of full-body workouts and tutorials on backbands and handstands. The channel highlights beginner, intermediate, advanced, stress relief and relaxation yoga playlists.

Kundalini with Béata (FR)

Anyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of living in this day and age should consider Kundalini Yoga with the spiritual and inspiring Béata (@theblissyogi). Kundalini is the yoga of deep awareness, transformation and consciousness. It strengthens the nervous system, and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings.

This method combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures in a precise, conscious manner to affect body, mind, and soul.  Béata offers free class every Saturday at 12 pm on her Instagram account and private classes on Zoom (inscription via beata.delcourt@gmail.com).

Kids Yoga with Astrid (FR/EN)

Feeling brave enough to try meditating with your kids? Yoga Room is based in Brussels and offers many online classes which include a special programme for kids with Astrid.

Kids Yoga is specially designed to get the tiny tots more involved in physical activity. More importantly, it is also meant to teach them to be more aware of their own body, as well as to develop their focus and relaxation.
