Love in Different Cultures

 Conversations  / Sat 17th Feb / 5-7pm

The Kritical Conversations Series, with The Book Club host Kriticos and other guests, deep dives into themes of great significance - from love and faith to creativity and all in between. You can expect honest and passionate discussions, enriching ideas, and good company.

For this session we invite you to come explore the myriad ways love is expressed, celebrated, and cherished across the globe. From timeless traditions to modern interpretations, we'll journey through the different cultural perspectives on this universal yet uniquely interpreted concept.

Whether you're intrigued by tales of romance from distant lands, curious about cultural rituals, or simply passionate about love in all its forms, this event promises to enlighten, inspire, and ignite meaningful conversations.

Join us for an evening of cultural exchange, and heartfelt discussions. Let's celebrate the beauty of diversity and the universal language of love together!

Books to be discussed:
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

You don't have to read or finish the books. Just come open-minded for new perspectives and thirsty for a good conversation!
